Ushers
Ushers greet the guests, escort them to their seats as needed, and hand out playbills. If there are any late arrivals, it will be the responsibility of the ushers to seat them at an appropriate time, as quietly as possible. Ushers have the opportunity to see the show after all guests have been seated. Ushers are stationed in the back lobby. After the show, all guest services staff make sure the theatre is presentable and ready for the next performance. Ushers must be ages 18+
Time Requirement: 45 minutes prior to curtain time until the end of the performance; one or more performances.
Concessionaires
Concessionaries provide food and beverages to the guests both prior to the show and during intermission. They are asked to use both credit card system and take cash to complete transactions. Concessionaires have the opportunity to see the show after all guests have been seated. After the show, all guest services staff make sure the theatre is presentable and ready for the next performance. Concessionaires must be ages 18+
Time Requirement: 45 minutes prior to curtain time until the end of the performance; one or more performances
All guest services volunteers are asked to arrive 15 minutes prior to their shift.
Note the following call times for volunteers for upcoming shows:
3:00 PM show, volunteers arrive at 2:15 PM for refresher/training, shift begins at 2:30 PM
7:30 PM show, volunteers arrive at 6:45 PM for refresher/training, shift begins at 7:00 PM
8:00 PM show, volunteers arrive at 7:15 PM for refresher/training, shift begins at 7:30 PM
The Pearl Theater uses SIGN-UP GENIUS which allows you to sign up for available shifts, check your schedule, and change shifts as needed.
Canceling a Shift
24 hrs. or more before your shift: If your plans have changed and you are unable to volunteer on your date and time day of your scheduled shift and you need to cancel, please visit sign-up genius and cancel your shift. call (832) 459-4674 as soon as possible.
Within 24hrs of your shift: Please call (832) 459-4674 to cancel.
