Cat on a Hot Tin Roof

June 5-21, 2020
Presented with special permission from Samuel French NY. NY.
By Tennessee Williams

Director:  Curtis Barber

An exploration of relationships among members of Big Daddy’s family, primarily between his son Brick and Maggie the “Cat”, Brick’s wife.  It is the story of a Southern family in crisis.  The family gathers to celebrate the sixty-fifth birthday of its patriarch, Big Daddy, as they sentimentally dub him. The mood is somber, despite the festivities, because a number of evils poison the gaiety: greed, sins of the past and desperate, clawing hopes for the future spar with one another caught in web of lies and deceit.
