Everybody Can Act – Virtual Edition

Everybody Can Act is a (very) brief introduction to the world of acting. If you have ever wanted to dip your toe in the water of being an actor or haven’t done it since high school and want to ease back into it, you will love this class. No stress, no lines to memorize, just have a good time as you develop basic acting skills in body, voice, and mind. This class is great to do with a friend or as a group outing! Includes mini-performance.

Date: Sunday, April 11 
Time: 3-5:30pm

Class Fee: $45 if registered before 4/1/21; $55 after.

The class needs a minimum of 6 participants to make.


RENEE L. VAN NIFTERIK is the founder and Executive / Artistic Director of the Pearl Theater. She has been an actor, director, artist, and educator.  She received her Bachelor’s Degree  in English from Western Michigan University and moved to Texas in 1996. She has directed over 30 plays and coached actors of all ages from youth to adult. Recently she taught theatre in Pearland ISD.  She is currently an adjunct Professor at Alvin Community College.

Renee has a Master’s Degree in Theatre Production. She is also a National Michal Chekhov Certified Teacher Candidate. She has also studied Meisner, Rasaboxes, and Viewpoints.

Renee believes that everyone is an artist in his or her own right, loves to study on a variety of topics, and gets the greatest pleasure sharing her love of the arts with others.
